Amanda Hughes is deeply committed to the abstract potential of watercolour. Grown in rural Somerset and long-settled in Derbyshire, Ally Kendrick Clew’s sculpture is inspired by her sense of belonging in the rural landscape. Alternately concerned about the destruction of ancient habitats, and uplifted by the environment’s ability to recover and adapt, Ally’s sculptures celebrate the landscape, its history, meaning and seasons. Her originals have enhanced home environments in the UK, USA, Australia, Japan, and Europe, and work has been published in British Vogue Summer Gallery.
