Angie Hollick

About the Artist

Angie Hollick has always enjoyed working with textiles, mainly sewing clothes for herself and her family. In the last four years, she has fallen in love with needle felting. The way that wool fibres can be transformed into amazing products by simply using friction and barbed needles enthralls her. She loves exploring how different natural fibres can be needle felted together. Angie creates 2D artwork inspired by botanicals and the natural environment. She has discovered a passion for experimenting with how different fibres can be re-purposed and needle felted together. She upcycles fibres using preloved woollen blankets, discarded wool packaging, and scour charity shops for illusive silk scarves, discarded wool clothes, and jaunty cotton fabric for all her creations. Producing a unique range of fabric bags and storage baskets alongside her needle felted artwork. Angie aims to share this love of re-purposing textiles through exhibiting her collection of framed art, individually designed and hand-made bags and storage baskets.
