Caroline is a contemporary abstract painter living in South Derbyshire. Her work is inspired by the visual ambiguity of the painted surface. By the performative process of paint, she creates works that give the viewer space to breath and just look, feel emotion and question. She is excited by process, using not only brushes but many varied tools and mark making implements, powerful colours, texture and chiaroscuro, creating many layers that result in powerful atmospheric surfaces. Caroline attempts to create art that is cathartic, to escape an ever increasing frenetic world.
