Giedre Sadauskaite uses an inventive mix of traditional techniques and materials to create a wide range of textile products including hand painted silk dresses, silk and nuno felt scarves, silk paintings, lampshades, cushions, and paper products. As a painter and illustrator, Giedre enjoys the creative challenge of transferring her design ideas onto the various forms and surface textures of her products, combining the two elements into something new and innovative. Her work is inspired by the colours, shapes, and textures of nature and the folk stories, symbols, and metaphors remembered from childhood legends and fairy tales.
