Helen Shere Design creates intricate jewellery using silver and gold, drawing inspiration from the urban textures and leafy details of Nottingham and York. Metal stamps and texturing methods are employed to 'draw' on the surface of the silver, resulting in detailed and pattern-rich pieces. Helen has refined her technique by combining metal stamping with Keum Boo, an ancient Korean method of bonding gold foil to silver, giving her jewellery a distinctive look. Helen participates in various arts trails and craft fairs, including Lady Bay Arts Trail, Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Newcastle, Wirksworth Arts Trail, Lustre Nottingham, and Nottingham Contemporary Craft Fair.
