Lisa Pilley

About the Artist

Lisa Pilley hand-sculpts and forms her jewellery using recycled silver and antique tools, imbuing each piece with a magical story. Her style, which she calls 'ruralistic,' reflects the countryside but goes beyond nature, incorporating elements of countryside living and heritage. Lisa's subjects include wildlife from hedgerows, meadows, and farmyard life such as Lurchers and farmyard cats. Seed heads on the wind and for-get-me-nots inspire her work, as do acorns and traditional metal smithing techniques. Her favourite pieces are story pendants that tell tales of traveling badgers or foxes and shape-changing hares that tell folklore stories. Lisa's packaging is sustainable and recyclable, with each jewellery box lid featuring the message: Contemporary Ruralistic Design, Jewellery born from the whimsical life of the woods, hedgerows & meadows.
