Mark Shattock has always found magic and immense succour walking in our landscapes and being immersed in the elements' interplay. In his paintings, Mark aims to capture the essence of his special relationship with nature and his feelings and love for it when outdoors. The dance of energy in light and movement between a coastline, a hill, or fields and the sky has always fascinated and moved him; it continues to feel very special. His dearest hope is that his paintings convey this to a viewer and remind them of a beautiful memory of a time and place of their own.
