Sue Lancaster

About the Artist

Sue Lancaster holds a BAHons Degree in Embroidered Textiles from Loughborough and is a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen. With over 50 years of experience in designing, retail sales, and exhibitions, Sue has showcased her work in various galleries, including a solo exhibition at Farfield Mill in Cumbria and a Members' Exhibition for SDC at Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester. Previously, she exhibited at The Bankside Gallery in London and Mall Galleries with both the Society of Designer Craftsmen and the Society of Marine Artists. Locally, Sue sells her work at Haddon Hall in Bakewell, both solo in Gatehouse and as part of Mercatum during Christmas. She is also featured in 'Meet the Locals' at Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield. Sue Lancaster's art comprises framed works of landscape and seascape, along with functional pieces inspired by these themes such as bags, books, and boxes. Each piece reflects her deep connection to nature and her skillful use of embroidery techniques, creating a harmonious blend of aesthetics and utility.
